(Ivy Iverson in The Corvet, Woodburn 2009) Ivy Iverson began racing quads in 2004 at the age of fourteen(see AIM's Sand Drag History). In 2008, AIM Racing made the move to asphalt and Ivy began racing "The Corvet" at Woodburn Dragstrip. Ivy usually runs in the 15's on the quarter mile track in the Sportsman Car category of the Sunoco Race Fuel Series. "The Corvet", so named because of it's vanity license plate CORVET, is a 1982 Chevrolet Corvette that was purchased new by Gerry Iverson, Ivy's grandfather. It has since been passed on to Jim Iverson, Gerry's son. "The Corvet" is an all-original Corvette with 60,000 miles on it's 350 cubic inch, 200 horsepower engine. | |||||||||||||
